Gas prices are through the roof, and the Biden regime is claiming that oil companies have a “patriotic duty” to lower gas prices immediately.
With the midterm elections coming up, the current state of America’s economy, which is in total shambles, will probably not help Democrats keep their current majority. So, the Biden regime is attempting to pay lip service to the situation by casting aspersion on the oil industry.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre issued a strange statement before the press pool about the fuel crisis, mentioning a letter it sent to oil companies about upping production output. “Now, we want to focus on the oil refinery, which is why we put out the letter, um, uh, uh, today or yesterday – I’m losing my track of time,” Jean-Pierre stated.
“And so, we see that as an important first step, uh, in making sure that the oil refineries are doing their part – again, patriotic duty – in making sure that they’re putting out capacity, and they’re not, uh, taking advantage of a, of a war, uh, that is hurting the American public.”
Jean-Pierre’s statements came after Joe Biden himself rambled with accusations about how oil companies are seeing their profit margin triple as a result of the crisis, and that more needs to be done to make gas less expensive.
“We see it as a patriotic duty … as we’ve talked about, there’s war happening right now. That was caused by Russia, which is why we’re seeing these hikes in gas prices, especially since Russia has amassed, started amassing troops, on the border [of Ukraine],” Jean-Pierre went on to say as a follow-up.
The regime’s hope, she proceeded to explain, is that the White House and oil companies will be able to have a conversation soon about the issue in order “to get to a solution and move this forward.”
She continued to lay blame on oil companies for allegedly using the war as a tool for profiteering as Americans get gouged in the wallet every time they head to the pump.
“They are using this moment, using this moment of war, where the American, where American families are feeling the high costs with food and gas,” Jean-Pierre further said.
“That is not a patriotic thing to do, and the president has the right to call them out.”
That letter she spoked of came from Biden, and it demands that oil companies reduce their profits as well as the cost of fuel nationwide. He added that there is an “unprecedented disconnect between the price of oil and the price of gas.”
Biden has ordered Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm to convene an emergency meeting with oil company executives to probe them on any reductions in oil refining capacity since early 2020 when the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) plandemic was officially launched.
“While using the typical blame game of ‘Putin’s war of aggression,’ claiming that it is the primary cause of a dwindling supply of oil, Biden also pointed out that oil company profit margins are at the highest recorded levels,” reports The Gateway Pundit.
“On Thursday, the gas price nationwide remained above $5 per gallon, according to AAA.”
In the comment section, someone pointed out that, based on all this rhetoric, the Biden regime “does not understand business and how businesses work.”
